Inspection & Disposition

CAT Squared’s Inspection & Disposition (I&D) software module empowers poultry processors to digitize inspection workflows, improve regulatory compliance, and optimize live operations performance. The system captures inspection defect data directly from the production line, recording issues such as airsacculitis, septicemia toxemia, overscald, and more—categorized by inspector, grower, lot, production line, and station.

As government inspectors log condemnations or reprocessing defects, plant personnel record them using touchscreens at each inspection station. Sensors on the line ensure real-time lot changes, automatically linking defect data to the correct grower or farm. This live data enables instant reporting, traceability, and the automatic generation of USDA or CFIA lot tally sheets, shift summaries, and condemn certificates.

When integrated with Live Bird Receiving (LBR), the I&D module ensures continuous traceability and enables data-driven decision-making to reduce condemn rates and improve A-grade percentages.
